My Background
I have made patterns for the apparel industry since my first job in 1983, working for large companies and small, in women’s wear and men’s wear. After years of drafting patterns by hand, I shifted to computer aided design, which speeds up the process, making pattern development more affordable. Four years ago, I added accessories to my pattern making skills. Now I’m focusing on making my services available to a wider market, to both industry, and non-industry designers.
The process simplified.
I use Gerber’s AccuMark software, which is a leading computer aided design tool for the apparel and soft goods industries. I can deliver your pattern or sample marker to you as an AccuMark zip file, or one of many other file types.
I can grade your pattern according you your size specifications, either simultaneously while creating it, or after fit and design adjustments. I can then send you a sample marker in any size you choose.
